Intelligence Plus Character

"Intelligence Plus Character - that is the goal of true education." by Dr Martin Luther King,Jr.

Who is this great man? Don't you recognise his successful stories in 50s'? What has he did? A little bit of story about this greatest guy. Martin experienced racism early in life. He decided to do to something to make the world a better and fairer place.

After graduating from college and getting married, Dr. King became a minister and moved to Alabama.

During the 1950's, Dr. King became active in the movement for civil rights and racial equality. He participated in the Montgomery, Alabama, bus boycott and many other peaceful demonstrations that protested the unfair treatment of African-Americans. He won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964.

Anyone of you still remembered his achievement? I have read his book quiet sometime ago. When I keen interested on his successful achievements, I'm searching from internet. I recalled his words, "I have a dream!" In this few such powerful words, do you have a dream? What achievement you want to achieve?

Setback is not a failure, as long as you have inspration to achieve whatever you have dream for it. An intelligence is not good enough, you must have good character. For example, in this advance world an education is such important concern for everyone of us, hence a knowledge is a powerful tools to enhance your aptitude & interpersonal skill. Character would be one of behavior how you act when encounter failure. Never, never ever give up easily!

Execellence & Uniqueness Of Service

When you read this topic's, your mind may be think of the commercial business, products and services. However, I want to address this differently from what usually people do not think of, it's all about YOU.

Let's talk about your current job which you are in, have you provided excellence and uniqueness of service to employment in terms of unique ideas, persistence, hardworking attitude and willing to go extra mile? All of these requirements are the main concern of the employment when they are hiring someone whom fresh and new to them. Willing go to the extra mile, for instance I knew a colleague of mine when was working in advertising company. She seldom to reject any offer from whatsoever person surround of her to ask for favor. She never ever say "NO",but sometimes she refused to help also in certain circumstances.

Talk about her chararter, willing go to extra mile - she has been gave me an input of helping the client's to create a number of advertising designs in one night time. She ran the whole process until the customer has been sent a great compliment letter for her to appreciate her effort for being helped him to create fabulous ads and advertised in the media in short period of time. An compliment letter is simple and concise but the value of letter is much meaningful for her to aspire her always keep with this behavior no matter where she works.

To Beat my own records

Usually, how do you work out to beat your new record? I did once when I also not realised I dare to do that. It was seems happened last couple of years. I was assigned by my management when they have embacked one brand new program's which actively running every single department at that time, no matter which department you are in, you must involve to these such benefit program's.

This program basically has higlighted some brilliant ideas when you have across the customer complaints or facing numbers of difficulty to encounter the customer complaints on the services. After that, you have solved it and became successful story for yourself and able to reach level of customer satisfactory. During that time, I was a leader to share every single successful stories among the departmen which I worked for it. I must undergo in front of the group of 30-40 people talked almost half and hour. In beginning, I was recognised but until the end, I was still being recognised by managment where one of the most actively person in this entire programs. It was my new record, in fact I was afraid to speak in front of bigger group last time. But nowadays I can adopt easily.

What do you guess now? Let's break and beat new records. Record doesn't mean should be olympic record's or whatever. It's something new to you where you never done such a way before.


Know Your LIMITS

What does it mean that"Know your limit"? Everyone has varying comfort levels. Everyone of us also has their limits. Everyone does. And of course, we do not underestimate anyone else. This is part of my philosophy. I understand everyone of us has their talent, intellectual, perception and their strengths. Although all of us also had limitations for what is our bottom line, and what can we do, what we are not.

Do you tell any friends of you on your limitation?Some of you do. but not everyone does. The reason could be people always do not want to disclosure their weaknesses, second the disadvantage is people will be thinking you are not good enough. you may certainly to improve some your threatened. By the way, you should understand that we are not perfect person in this world. Did you meet anyone can be considers he or she is perfect person? If you do, kindly to tell us.

My director has been asked me once, what is your limits? In my mind, I choose to be silent because I am not that person who always love to complaint or rise any problems to myself. I just want to work in peace of mind, hence I can chose not to answer. Finally, I told him my limitation. I almost forced to answer. There is no right or wrong, it is just good or bad when you are answering the question. I am very sure with my limits.

I would highly to advice you, let the people know your limits before they have over discovered what they have said about you. It's good or bad, let yourself explore and then get directly answer for yourself.

We are in the same BOAT

How many times have you listened this quote before? It's uncountable. I seem had been used this quote umpteen of time when I was working as marketing or sales personnel. It's the teamwork environment. Nobody worked as alone. Target of sales always fallen under a team. Always in the same boat. If anyone work without a captain who leads to right direction which mean that boat could be floating nowhere.

My ex-sales manager who was that kind of result oriented person. You can't really escaped away from monthly sales productivity. He got it in figure tips. Although I did not prefer the way of his leadership styles but I can learned a lot from him. I was still same boat with him. We should be achieved management sales target together. As long as I always mingle with him, he had lead me to achieve my dreams. He was my examples last time. I've been grown very fast in terms of leadership, managerial skill as well as interpersonal skills. I can says," Fight against challenges when you are think it's worthwhile for you."

Obviously, in the short period of time I might not be grow so fast but at least it's something valuable for myself where learning is costless. When you need someone to guide or teach you in what same ways as mentioned earlier, if maybe cost you money and time. The skill must be develops by practices.
